Air emission and ambient air measurements
Emission measurement is the evidence of whether an installation stays within the limit values in its environmental permit. We measure emissions at the source itself — stack, ventilation outlet, process line — and ambient concentrations at locations chosen for the sources and prevailing winds. Our instruments include TESTO 350 XL, TESTO 300 XL, TESTO 325-1 and SICK GM31, S700 and SIDOR.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between emission and ambient concentration?
Emission is what leaves the source — measured at the stack or outlet. Ambient concentration is the level in the surrounding air at a distance from the source, that is, what people actually breathe.
How often must emissions be measured?
The frequency is not uniform — it is set by your integrated environmental permit or approved elaborate, in the monitoring section, which also specifies the points and parameters.
Is the report accepted in proceedings before the competent authority?
We prepare reports in the form the authorities require, with details of method, instruments and measurement conditions. For emissions from stationary sources the regulations require a laboratory accredited to MKS EN ISO/IEC 17025 — when quoting we confirm the scope under which the specific measurement is performed.
